The Championship shall be open to all English Schools. Each School Team member must be a current pupil/ student of the school.
County Qualifying Competitions
County Schools’ Golf Associations will hold qualifying competitions on dates and at venues determined by them. The qualifying event must be strokeplay. Only one school maximum per county can qualify for the National Final.
Each school team shall consist of three players (boys, girls or mixed).
The 9 best Team scores against the Course Rating of the qualifying course will qualify to represent their county in the National Finals. Eg, if the course rating is 70.0, the rating for a team of 3 will be 210. If a school submit 3 scores of 71, 75 and 72 they will finish on 218, or 8 over the course rating collectively. If this is in the top 9 finishes in the country, they will qualify for the final.
Championship Finals
To be played at the National Golf Centre, Woodhall Spa (Hotchkin Course), over 18 holes of handicap strokeplay.
The Winning School shall be the School with the lowest aggregate gross score taking all 3 scores in to account.
